Bone Density Testing | As we age, our bones may become weaker and thinner. Our nurse practitioners provide bone density testing to detect osteoporosis, or thinning of the bones. The scan is done while you are dressed and takes about 45 minutes. Follow up after the exam includes comprehensive education about the test results, and osteoporosis treatment and prevention.
The International Society for Clinical Densitometry recognizes that our staff has participated in the ISCD’s Bone Densitometry Course and has successfully completed the exam. Our participating staff are now referred to as Certified Clinician Densitometrists. | | |
