MEDICAL ARTS HISTORY

Medical Arts began in 1930 when Dr. Conrad and his son Leslie Tasche opened an office above Sam’s Shoe Store on 8th and Michigan. They were soon joined by Dr. Burnell Eckardt and Dr. Henry Winsauer, eventually forming the Medical Arts Corporation which required extending the office to an adjacent Mobil Oil service station in 1957. Successful Orthopedic, Internal Medicine, Ob/Gyn, Vascular and General Surgery, and Pediatric practices eventually complemented the organization. Continued expansion posed a need for space, and in 1990 the group subsequently moved to our current location at 2920 Superior Avenue,
Sheboygan, WI 53081

MEMBERS OF PHYSICIANS’ HEALTH NETWORK

SIMA elected to join a group of independent physicians called Physicians Health Network and therefore partnering with St. Nicholas Hospital. This union provides a wide array of physicians in multiple subspecialties, as well as a hospital dedicated to the complete care of the residents of Sheboygan. The result is a system which offers comprehensive healthcare to all the residents of Sheboygan County.

As members of this group, the physicians of Sheboygan Internal Medicine Associates pride themselves in the care offered to the Sheboygan Community. As independent physicians, we feel we can get to know our patients on an individual basis. It is our opinion that this personal approach creates a sense of trust and peace of mind that helps comfort our patients in allowing us to provide the proper care.
